Global Leadership Academy Announces Summer Destinations for 2018, 2019 Cohorts

Launched in 2012, over the years Global Leadership Academy has built the capacity of faculty and staff with curriculum that addresses the domains required for leadership in higher education, as well as the complexities of Webster University.

As the 2017 Global Leadership Academy fellows prepare for their June session at the Thailand campuses, the GLA directors are pleased to announce the destinations for the June sessions for the 2018 and 2019 cohorts. 

The 2018 cohort will take a deeper dive into the U.S. metro and military campuses instead of an international campus. The fellows will spend a week in June 2018 exploring campuses in Florida and meeting with students, faculty, staff, and alumni to learn about their operations and experiences.

With the 2018 Academy focusing on the U.S., we will be able to bring in some additional fellows from the international campuses and better meet the needs of U.S.-based faculty and staff who feel they cannot travel too far due to family responsibilities.

The 2019 cohort will return to international travel visiting the campus in Accra, Ghana, in June 2019.

Applications for the 2018 cohort will be accepted from July 28, 2017, to Sept. 29, 2017. Several information sessions will be offered online in September.

About Global Leadership Academy

The Global Leadership Academy (GLA) is a leadership development program open to the faculty and staff of the Webster University global community. GLA fellows are selected each year to participate in a series of workshop and activities that help them to lead successfully in their roles and positions within the University.

Applications from faculty and staff are solicited in the fall for participation in the next cohort.
